benchex is a consultancy firm specialising in the cooperation between brands and retail.

benchex is the European leader in retail barometers for non-food categories. We offer the benchex Retail Barometer© in most important European markets and guarantee both high quality and compatibility.

benchex supports brands achieving more with their retail partners. We provide structured feedback from brands´ most important target group and benchmark brands from a retailer perspective. This is an important step to identify brands´ individual competitive strengths and weaknesses and to efficiently improve collaboration.

benchex Retail Barometers© are run in different non-food categories and are conducted regularly in order to analyse developments.

Some of the brands we work with: Philips, Bosch, Siemens, Jack Wolfskin, WMF, Faber-Castell, Stabilo, Zwilling etc…

We further provide standardized consumer research (benchex Brand Audit©) which is a benchmarking of brands from a consumer perspective. All benchex projects are set-up in a multi-client approach.

Who we are looking for

We are looking for a UK Country Manager who supports benchex´ international growth strategy and is responsible for the overall UK business. He/she works as independent franchisee.

This includes our core offerings, the benchex Retail Barometer© as well as benchex Brand Audit© (standardized consumer research).

Qualifications:

      • Highly motivated to create & grow a new business: acquisition of new business, talented cold caller, experienced lead manager, opportunity seeker – working independently and getting immediate response from the market is more important to you than the conveniences of a large organisation
      • Proven track record of building a pipeline and delivering on individual sales targets
      • App. 10 years experience either in Marketing/ Trade Marketing/ Category Management or Sales for a leading brand.
      • Alternatively: experience with a top retailer and building up a comprehensive network among brands
      • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
      • Experienced and successful in presenting to top management functions
      • Familiarity with marketing automation
      • College degree or equivalent work experience
      • Be comfortable cold- and warm-calling at an executive level
      • Willingness to do occasional travel
